End of Sale and End of Support

During the summer, Nuance will launch the new Nuance Ethernet Card Reader. This is a network-based card reader and will replace the different types of controllers for external solutions within SafeCom.

In order for our solutions to be up-to-date at all time, they depend on continuous development. When a solution goes from one generation to the next, an upgrade is often required. By staying updated on the upgrades our customers can be confident that they always have the latest version available.

Below you will find the latest news within End of Sale and End of Support.

AutoStore 6.0

From September 30, 2015, it was no longer possible to order AutoStore 6.0 from Nuance. However, Best of Breed continues supporting the solution until December 28, 2018.

Let us know if you need any advice or assistance concerning the upgrade to AutoStore 7.0!

More information from Nuance can be found here.

SafeCom components

From December 08, 2017, it will be End of Sales on the following of SafeCom components:

Components for External solutions:

  • SafeCom Controller
  • SafeCom Controller 2 port
  • SafeCom ID Controller

These will be replaced with the new Nuance Ethernet Card Reader. We recommend starting the process getting customers who have a large number of devices with an external solution over to an integrated.

“Single-technology” card readers:

  • SafeCom EM Reader, USB
  • SafeCom HID Prox, USB
  • SafeCom iClass, USB

The replacement for these will be the Nuance Mx Proximity Reader. This is a multi-technology card reader, which reads from EM, HID Prox and iClass, among others.

We recommend starting the process getting customers who have a large number of devices with an external solution over to an integrated.
